The Norwegian Forest Cat’s origins are cloaked in darkness and obscurity. Legend has it that the Viking God Thor’s chariot was pulled by two huge Norwegian Forest Cats. Myths notwithstanding, many accolades pertain to this magnificent breed of the Far North: Extremely intelligent, hardy, adaptable, sweet, confident, curious and outgoing. The Forest Cat marches its way into your home and heart, tail held high. They get along well with other cats, dogs, people and even like to travel. They wear their beautiful weather-resistant triple coat in winter, and molt it off to become almost short-haired in the summer months.
